EUROLEAGUE Basketball: United to Bring an End to Childhood Leukemia
During the EuroLeague and EuroCup matches of 21 to 24 March (EuroLeague Round 30 and EuroCup Round 17) all referees will wear the Unoentrecienmil Golden Laces, a symbol of the stake in the research that will end childhood leukemia. Will you join them? You can, by making a donation to the project through Fundación Unoentrecienmil, a Spanish NGO that for 10 years has been championing for research in the fight against childhood leukemia.
Every day, dozens of parents across Europe hear the same diagnosis: "your child has leukemia". All of them await several months of aggressive treatments to save the lives of these children, alongside short- and long-term side effects that bring their lives to a standstill.
The best basketball teams in Europe have joined together to back research and give these kids the tools to help them beat this illness. The most prestigious researchers and physicians all over the continent are working together to provide more efficient and less aggressive and more personalised treatments for each child with leukemia. But they can't do it alone: they need our help to make it happen.
